Sher Edling is proud to announce two attorney promotions, Quentin Karpilow to Partner, and Heather Kryczka to Counsel.
Quentin joined Sher Edling as an Associate in 2020 after clerkships with the Honorable Susan L. Carney of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the Honorable Janet C. Hall of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut. He earned his law degree from Yale Law School. Based in Washington, DC, Quentin contributes his skills and expertise across all of Sher Edling’s practice areas, with particular focus in climate deception and 1,4-dioxane contamination litigation. He represents the firm’s clients across the country. His promotion expands Sher Edling’s partnership to six attorneys.
Heather joined Sher Edling as an Associate in 2024 after working for years as a clean air and environmental justice advocate in her role as an attorney with the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC). She is a graduate of Stanford Law School. Based in Los Angeles, she works on climate deception and water contamination cases, with a focus on PFAS-related litigation for clients across the country.
“We are delighted to recognize Quentin and Heather for their expertise in the law, dedication to our mission, and contributions to our clients’ success,” said Managing Partner Matt Edling. “Public entities are well served by having these two advocates in their corner.”
In 2026, Sher Edling is celebrating its 10-year anniversary. Since its founding in San Francisco in 2016, the firm has grown to a team of 30 lawyers based in 10 states across the country and has helped public entity clients secure more than $1 billion in relief through hard fought environmental litigation.
