Human Resources Director

Sher Edling seeks an HR Director to join our mission-driven team dedicated to protecting people and the planet. This is a new position at Sher Edling, founded in 2016 and now approaching 50 employees.  The HR Director will oversee all human resources functions, supporting our mission by ensuring a positive, compliant, and dynamic work environment. This role is vital to maintaining and shaping the firm’s culture, to developing talent, and to aligning HR practices with our strategic goals.  Annual compensation range for this position is $135,000 – $170,000, depending on experience and geographic location.

Paralegal

Sher Edling seeks a junior paralegal to join our mission-driven team dedicated to protecting people and the planet. Our paralegals take a leadership role in cases, including working directly with our attorneys to manage cases from investigation, pleadings, discovery, trial, and appeals. Our ideal candidate is able to effectively and independently manage their time, is able to produce high quality work across all areas of litigation (i.e., administration related to briefing and filing, deposition assistance and coordination, trial preparation, etc.), and is committed to helping us meet all of our clients’ needs.  Annual compensation range for this position is $65,000 – $80,000, depending on experience.

Associate Attorney

Sher Edling seeks an associate attorney with at least 2 years of litigation or clerkship experience to join our mission-driven team dedicated to protecting people and the planet. The associate will work on high-impact environmental cases representing states, counties, cities, and non-profits.  Our associates take a leadership role in cases, including investigating and analyzing legal claims, engaging in all facets of discovery, interviewing fact witnesses and scientific experts, drafting motions, briefs, and other pleadings, appearing and arguing in state and federal court, and preparing for and trying cases.  Annual compensation range for this position is $115,000 – $135,000, depending on experience and geographic location.

Litigation Counsel

Sher Edling seeks Litigation Counsel with at least 7 years of litigation experience to join our mission-driven team. Litigation Counsel will lead all aspects of significant cases, working with and guiding a case team from investigation through filing, briefing, oral argument, pre-trial discovery, trials, and resolution.  Position responsibilties center on leadership, collaboration, and case/client management.  Annual compensation range for this position is $160,000 – $175,000, depending on experience and geographic location.
