Alfred Martini

Senior Paralegal

Overview

Alfred advances public interest by helping hold powerful wrongdoers accountable for widespread harm. With over 20 years in civil litigation, he has supported high stakes matters that protect communities, public entities, and consumers from serious misconduct.

Throughout his career in both the public and private sectors, Alfred has played a key role in complex litigation from inception through resolution, working closely with attorneys, experts, and clients to develop strategy, manage critical discovery, and drive cases toward successful outcomes. His work has contributed to matters involving groundwater contamination from 1,2,3-Trichloropropane, Perchlorate, and Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), resulting in both pre-trial settlements, and jury verdicts.

At Sher Edling, Alfred supports the firm’s PFAS litigation by helping advance cases that seek recovery for environmental harm. He is motivated by work that not only achieves results in court but also delivers lasting benefits to affected communities and society. He feels that when pollution is a calculated business decision, accountability is the only effective deterrent.

Alfred holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Juris Doctor from Rutgers School of Law. Before college, he served in the United States Marine Corps, an experience that continues to inform his discipline, teamwork, and commitment to service.

Alfred is a lifelong learner and when he is not spending quality time with his wife and family, he is indulging in his passion for roasting, brewing and drinking specialty coffee, or developing his own artificial intelligence agents or tools.
