Overview
For more than 30 years, John has put strategic communications to work for the public interest. He joined Sher Edling in 2019 and helps ensure that the stories told by the press and others about our clients’ cases are clear, accurate and up to date. John has worked in advocacy, elections, higher education, and traditional agency public relations – a path that led to Sher Edling, where he brings his instincts and experience to help the firm deliver on its mission every day.
After earning his B.A. in English from the University of Notre Dame, John got his start in PR by having to wear a tie to work to program a blast fax machine and stuff press kits to be delivered by bike messenger to reporters in Washington, DC. Today’s communications landscape allows him to live, work, and play based out of his home in Colorado.
